African American Achievement Summit 2024
Posted on 01/22/2024
A Black and African American Achievement Summit was held on January 19, 2024 in collaboration with UW-Green Bay. The event was for 8th grade students to increase their sense of belonging and to provide additional support around post secondary planning and preparedness.

Students had the opportunity to interact with UW-Green Bay students and staff, network with professionals from the community, learn about careers, and enjoy lunch.

Dr. Claude Tiller Jr., Superintendent of Schools and Learning, was a keynote speaker at the event.

It is part of the GBAPS vision for every student to graduate high school academically, socially and emotionally-prepared, which will lead to college, career, and life readiness.

Thank you to the exceptional community leaders who generously offered their time to be part of the Achievement Summit.

Five remaining summits will take place in 2024 for Latino; Latina; Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American; First Nations; and LGBTQIA+ students.
