Role of the Educational Audiologist
- Interpret audiological information and manage educational impact of hearing loss
- Monitor and manage personal and classroom amplification
- Provide classroom acoustic modifications
- Evaluate educational impact of hearing loss to determine appropriate supports and services
- Serve as a member of the IEP team
- In-service and support teachers and other service providers who work with students with hearing loss and their amplification
- Collaborate with community resources (clinical audiologists, medical professionals, community programs, etc) to promote programs and services to support children with hearing loss and their families
